Alaric means either "ruler of all" or "noble ruler" from the Germanic element ala "all" or adal "noble" combined with ric "ruler, power". This was the name of a king of the Visigoths who sacked Rome in the 5th century.

You've just got to love his face, strong, brave and kind.

Alaric is made from a luxuriously soft alpaca, with co-ordinating dark brown ultrasuede.

His face and tummy are in soft white alpaca, he has facial sculpting and shading, his nose is hand embroidered.

Stuffed with polyfill, glass beads and a whole lot of care, attention to detail and more than a little bit of love.

Alaric is looking forward to adventuring to a new home.

I've been designing and selling my bears since 1996 and have run a Bear shop and studio since 1999.
I teach bear making here in Australia and overseas and my bears have won awards at prestigious Bear shows, including Bear of Show and Best Professional Bear awards as well as a 2003 TOBY Industry Choice award.

Most of my bears are one-of's or very limited editions, they are made by me and are definitely from a completely smoke free environment!!
