The Bears on this page are all variations on the KALAMAZOO style.
He has a 5 piece head design that is sculpted and shaded, his nose is waxed, he has deep sculpting on his paws and feet and shading on his tummy, paws and feet, he is filled with orlon. and polymer beads. He is VERY poseable and looks great sitting, standing or lying down, either on tummy or back. His favourite pose is to lying on his back with his hands behind his head and waiting for some nice soul to come along and scratch his tummy!!
Kalamazoo 18" - LE of 5
'Auber' . . . 18" - #2 in the Kaleida Series
These bears all have mohair patchwork face, tummy and paws with stitched detailing, each bear in the series is made from different colour and fabric styles.
'Rafiki' . . . 18" - #1 of 1 - SOLD !!
Rafiki's colouring reminded me of African hunters stalking their prey through the veldt, so I looked up African names and found Rafiki, it's meaning is 'a friend'.
Wangaratta . . . 18" - # 1 of 1
Made from hand painted a golden orange mohair with yellow gold contrast mohair, Wangaratta's tummy and paws have been made from Australian Aboriginal print cotton fabrics which have then been hand quilted before being made into the bear, his face is made from trimed sparse mohair, he comes with his own authentic mini boomerang (not pictured).
Patchouli . . . 18" - # 1 of 1
Made from hand painted orange mohair with hand painted green contrast mohair, Patchouli's tummy and paws have been patchworked from Australian flora print cotton fabrics which have then been machine quilted, his face is made from trimmed sparse mohair.
